Thar 2020 Price

Thar 2020 by Mahindra has also introduced the mStallion engines.

Thar 2020 was unveiled on the 15^th AUG which is India’s Independence Day and will be launched on 2^nd OCT which happens to be Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday.

The new Mahindra Thar is also the flag bearer for the All-New mStallion150 petrol engine. Not only did the Thar 2020 get a completely new aesthetic make over for the exterior but the interior that we have seen in the videos and photos, is also impressive.

Engine and Variants

Thar will have 2 engine options (BS6 obviously), mStallion petrol and mHawk diesel with manual as well as automatic gear box options. 3 Variant options of the Thar would be AX, AX (O) and LX. It has also introduced 3 roof options which are fixed soft top, a convertible soft top and a hard top.

Exterior

The rear of the Thar will still have the spare tyre mounted and the tail lamps will remain rectangular but will host LED lights. The hard-top roof option also provides the ability to access the boot through windows in the rear above the spare tyre.

Front has a massive change with the new grill and DRLs. However the round headlamps remain as they were in the previous version of the Thar.

Interior

In the interior, we will be having an LCD screen at the instrument cluster as well as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other usage of the 7-inch screen would be as a compass, Tyre pressure monitoring system, G-meter, pitch, wheel angle to name a few. The interiors are said to be of IP54 standards which makes it dust and water resistant.
