So you always wanted that three point star sedan in your garage, but it always came in a bigger packages.
Well now Mercedes has introduced the A Class Limousine! Yes your red it right, it is an A Class sedan which was earlier only available as a hatch but this new compact but spacious entry level Mercedes sedan comes with all the luxuries that you would expect in a Mercedes. Also, because it will come with only a single variant in all of its three engine option, the Petrol, the diesel and the 35AMG.
With the New C Class round the corner which is more of a baby ‘S’, there is definitely room for a smaller sedan. But with a spacious and impressive back seat and decent boot space, it isn’t small at all.
The A Class Limousine offers decent 405 liter boot space in the Petrol variant and a 395 liter boot space in the Diesel variant.
Also on offer are smart 17 inch alloys, triangular tail lamps, leather topped dash, signature rotary air conditioning vents, ambient lighting with 64 colour options and 10.25 inch touch screen powered by the Mercedes MBUX. It also gets a similar sized digital instrument cluster and wireless charging.
The petrol version is powered by a new 1.3 liter, 163 HP engine with churns out 250 NM of torque while the diesel is powered by the known 2 liter, 150 HP engine with churns out 320 NM of torque with a new 8 speed DCT gear box which claimed 0-100 in 8.2 seconds. It also claims an ARAI average 21.3 kms. per liter. But for the enthusiasts it is the 35AMG which is a 2 liter petrol engine powered by 305 horses.
It is classy as you would expect a Mercedes to be and is well designed to accommodate decent head and leg room at the rear. It does live up to its christening as the A Class Limousine.
