Nissan Magnite

16th July 2020 made an history for Nissan, as on this day they unveiled their new logo, Nissan Magnite as well as Nissan Ariya.

Nissan had 5 products in the Indian market out of which the 3 – Nissan Micra, Nissan Sunny & Nissan Terrano have been discontinued from Indian car market. The only 2 cars they currently selling is the Nissan GTR priced ₹2,12,40,272 ex showroom and Nissan Kicks price at ₹9,49,990 ex showroom.

Nissan Magnite hence plays an important role for Nissan to make a stand in the Indian market and will be launched with new feature that the past Nissan cars did not have.

Nissan Magnite is going to be a smaller and cheaper SUV than Nissan Kicks. Since its under 4 meters the taxation will be less and hence makes it affordable if its kept under 10Lakhs. Hence will compete with Maruti Suzuki Vitara-Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon & Mahindra XUV300.

The launch was planned to be in OCT 2020, however with the pandemic situation it seems that the car now will be launching in Jan-March 2021.

Nissan Magnite Engine

  • 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with 72 hp of power along with 96 Nm of torque
  • new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 100 hp and 160Nm
