Simon Cowell bike accident happened on Saturday 8 August, 2020. Simon Cowell was admitted in hospital after falling off his electric bike in the yard of his home in Malibu, California. Simon Cowell suffered a grievous spinal injury after falling from an electric bike he was riding. The fall allegedly could have left the music giant and talent show judge paralyzed.

The incident happened when Cowell was spending time with his six year old son Eric and his partner Lauren Silverman. He had a medical surgery of 6 hours later that day whichleft him having a metal rod placed in his back.

His spokesperson said that the TV personality has “broken his back in a number of places”, but that he was “doing fine”.

In an interview with entertainment website Deadline, Cowell’s spokesperson said: “Simon had a fall from his bike on Saturday afternoon whilst testing his new electric bike in the courtyard at his house in Malibu with his family.”

As news of his injury became public, Simon Cowell replied by tweeting his well-wishers and followers.

He wrote: “Some good advice… If you buy an electric bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time. I have broken part of my back. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages.

“And a massive thank you to all the nurses and doctors. Some of the nicest people I have ever met. Stay safe everyone. Simon.”

Simon Cowell was riding SWIND EB-01 electric motorbike produced by Swindon Powertrain of Swindon, Wiltshire, England. This bike has a 15 kW motor and top speed of 60kmph. Its priced approximately for Rs. 15,82,500.The SWIND EB-01 is described by Swindon Powertrain as “brutally fast” it is classified as an electric motorbike in the EU, requiring full type approval, registration, tax, license, insurance and a motorbike helmet to be worn.
