What’s New in the VW Polo 2021?

Volkswagen Polo facelift 2021 is all set for its global launch on 22nd April, 2021. While the India launch of the new VW Polo 2021 would follow by 2023 as the VW Group is currently focused on as much market share possible for the hot selling SUV segment. Hence this confirms that VW cars like Tiguan would be launched in India before the New Polo that is globally launched on 22nd April.

 Powertrain of the Polo 2021

The engine options mostly would remain the same as available in the current Polo models which are 1.0L MPI Petrol and the 1.0L TSI Petrol. However, there is news that the Polo 2021 will be having a mild-hybrid powertrain too.

MQB A0 platform

The other major difference that we are yet to confirm is that the new Polo will be based on MQB A0 platform. VW has spent around $60bn researching and developing this MQB platform which today is shared by several of VW Groups wide range of cars from mini to mid-size SUV’s. MQB allows Volkswagen to assemble any of its cars based on this platform across all of its MQB ready factories hence allowing shift in production across all their MQB factories across the globe with ease.
